Specs and Feel

This is a clean linear with no bumps and a consistent press from top to bottom. The nylon top and bottom housings give it the deep, slightly damped acoustic profile that nylon is known for, rounder and less clacky than a polycarbonate switch. The 63.5g double spring lands in the firmer half of medium weight, with a progressive feel that resists a heavy hand toward the bottom of the stroke.

Out of the box the light factory lube keeps the POM stem gliding cleanly, with only the faintest hint of texture on faster keypresses. Stem wobble is well controlled, typical of AEBoards’ newer molds, and there’s no notable scratch to speak of once the switch is broken in. The normal-length pole means a standard bottom-out depth, so the Blaeck feels familiar rather than truncated, and it bottoms with a soft, deep note instead of a sharp tick.

Tuning

The Blaeck is good as-is for most builds thanks to the pre-lube and oiled springs, but a thin pass of lube on the rails and a swipe on the springs removes the last traces of friction and quiets any spring ping. Films are largely unnecessary given the tight housing tolerances. For an even deeper sound, pair them with a thicker plate-and-PCB foam stack.

Verdict

If you want a warm, well-mannered nylon linear that needs little work to feel good, the Blaeck is an easy pick, especially at clearance pricing. It’s a dependable, deep-sounding switch that rewards a light tune. Skip it only if you prefer a crisper, lighter linear or the snappier feel of an extended-pole stem.
