Frequently asked
What makes the R2.1 different from earlier Blaeck switches?
The R2.1 revision swaps in a reinforced nylon for both housings, which tightens up the structure and helps it hold a deeper, more controlled sound signature than the original run.
How does the Blaeck differ from the AEBoards Raed?
Both share the AEBoards top-housing mold and oiled double-spring setup, but the Blaeck uses a normal-length POM stem instead of the Raed's extended pole, so it has the full standard travel and a softer bottom-out.
Are the Blaeck R2.1 switches pre-lubed?
Yes. They arrive lightly factory lubed with oiled double springs, so they are pleasant out of the box, though a careful hand lube still pays off.
