How it sounds
Frequently asked
How heavy is the Akko Starlit 45g?
It actuates at roughly 45g with a 50g bottom-out, putting it firmly in light-linear territory. The short gap between actuation and bottom-out means it feels even lighter in practice than the numbers suggest.
Does the Starlit switch really improve RGB brightness?
The glittered PC top housing and an LED-light condenser are designed to channel and diffuse per-key lighting more effectively, so RGB does read brighter and more even than on a typical opaque housing.
Do the Akko Starlit switches need lubing?
They are usable stock, but a thin hand-lube on the rails and springs smooths out the minor factory scratch and tightens the sound. For most builders it is an optional polish rather than a requirement.
