Frequently asked

Is the Durock Ice King 52g good for RGB builds?

Yes. The honeycomb-textured light column and translucent housing are built to pass per-key LED light through cleanly, so it shines in boards where you want the underglow and per-key RGB to read brightly.

Does the Ice King need lubing out of the box?

No. It ships factory lubed and is smooth enough for most builds as-is. A hand re-lube can deepen the sound and shave any residual stem rattle, but it is strictly optional rather than required.

Why does the Ice King bottom out so quickly?

It uses a long-pole modified nylon stem, which shortens total travel to around 3.5mm and produces a sharp, clacky bottom-out instead of a soft, cushioned landing.
