Factory lubing is clean and not over-applied. Sound is on the muted, rounded side, restrained and low-pitched rather than clacky or marbly, which makes it pleasant in a busy desk setup.

There’s little to do here. The Raptor MX Extreme comes lubed and feels finished out of the bag, so films and lube are optional polish rather than a fix. If you’re chasing a slightly fuller sound, swap stock keycaps or a deskmat before touching the switch itself.
