Pre-travel is 2.0mm across the range, on a 22mm KOS stainless single-stage spring. The LY stem is the highlight, a low-friction material that glides smoothly with minimal scratch. The PC top housing gives the sound a bright, clacky edge, while the PA12 nylon bottom keeps it from getting harsh, landing it at a clean medium-clacky. Wobble is low and the factory lube is applied well.

Tuning

This switch is good stock and needs no work to be enjoyable. If you want to refine it, a light housing film tightens the acoustics and a spring bag-lube clears any faint ping. The lighter 37g and 42g builds are excellent for fast gaming; the 50g suits typists who prefer a firmer bottom-out. Spring swaps are the main way to dial in your preferred weight if the stock options don’t quite fit.

Buy the Sunset Gleam if you want an affordable, bright, lightweight linear with a smooth LY glide and a choice of weights. It punches well above its price. Compared to the warmer HMX Nap, the Gleam is snappier and clackier; compared to the brighter Yogurt S, it is gentler and more rounded. Skip it only if you specifically want a deep, muted signature, where a full-nylon switch like the Sonja is a better fit.
