Kailh Box Hush V3 50g

My review of the Kailh Box Hush V3 50g — a sub-35dB silent linear with a rounded MX stem, IP54 sealed BOX housing and one of the most satisfying dampened.

Frequently asked

Are these the quietest silent switch out there?

Not quite — they carry a sub-35dB rating but a few dampened linears go quieter. What sets the Hush apart is that its remaining sound is genuinely pleasant rather than a dead thud.

How does the dampening feel?

Satisfying and cushioned rather than mushy. The pads soften the bottom-out without erasing it, so you still get a sense of landing. Some heavier typists find 50g a touch light.

Stock or lubed?

Great stock. The factory work and the POM slider keep things smooth, and over-lubing a dampened switch usually does more harm than good.
