Tuning

It is good stock thanks to factory lube and integrated dampening, so most people need do nothing. If you want a hair more smoothness, a thin 205g0 pass on the rails helps, but keep lube away from the dampening pads so you do not make the bottom-out muddier. Films are unnecessary with the BOX housing. This is firmly a stock-and-go silent switch.

Buy the Deep Sea Island if you want a quiet, smooth, factory-lubed linear for an office or a shared room. It is the linear counterpart to the tactile Deep Sea Whale in the same line, and quieter than any standard Box Red or Box Black. Skip it only if you want maximum crisp bottom-out feedback. Silencing always softens that edge.
