Tuning

This is a switch to leave essentially stock. The click bar must stay dry, so the slider is off-limits for lube. If the gold-plated spring develops ping, a careful dab of grease on the spring ends solves it without touching the mechanism. Films are pointless given the tight BOX housing. The only real “tuning” here is the board: a foamed case and thick keycaps shape the click’s resonance if you want to fine-tune the tone.

Buy the Box Jade if you want the definitive loud, deep, satisfying clicky and you type where volume is no problem. It is a clear step up from the Cherry MX Blue and deeper-sounding than the brighter, lighter Box Glazed Green. Skip it only if you need quiet. This is one of the loudest switches on the market.
