Tuning

Leave it stock. As with any click-bar switch, lubing the mechanism kills the click, so the best you should do is a light film on the housing rails if a unit feels rough. The polycarbonate housing already leans bright; if you want a deeper click you would be better off choosing a nylon-bottom Box switch from the start rather than trying to tune the Summer toward thock. Stabilizer tuning will do more for your overall sound than anything done to these switches.

Buy the Box Summer if you want a light, bright clicky with a tidy click bar and a fast keystroke. It is a fun, affordable everyday clicker. If you prefer a gentler, more restrained click, the Box Noble Yellow is the softer sibling, while the Box Jade delivers a heavier, sharper snap. The Summer’s appeal is that brightness paired with a low actuation weight.
