How quiet is the KT Grey really?
Quiet enough for a shared office or a late-night session next to a sleeping partner. The dampened bottom-out kills the sharp click of a normal linear without turning the keypress to mush.
Does it need lube out of the box?
No. It ships factory-lubed and the partial-BOX POM stem is smooth as-is. I'd only film or hand-lube if you're chasing a quieter, more uniform feel across a full board.
Is 45g too light?
It sits in the comfortable middle. Fast typists won't fatigue, and the dampeners stop you bottoming out as hard as you would on an undampened 45g linear.
