Tuning

The Midnight Pro is a good stock switch and needs nothing to perform. It is already factory lubed, the silencing is built into the stem, and the bump is well defined out of the box. If anything, the only fiddly part is fitment: the partial-BOX stem can foul certain keycaps, and trimming the extra stem nubs is occasionally needed to seat caps cleanly. Beyond that, leave it alone. Adding lube risks dulling an already-soft sound, and films are unnecessary on a switch tuned this carefully.

Buy the Midnight Pro if you want a silent tactile that still feels like a tactile. It is smoother and quieter than a Gateron Brown while keeping a comparable bump, and it is more refined than most budget silent tactiles. Compared to a Boba U4 Silent it trades a touch of bump heft for a softer, more rounded sound. The only catch is occasional keycap fitment. For a quiet office or shared-room board, this is an easy recommendation.
