The all-POM construction (POM stem in a POM housing) is the headline. POM is self-lubricating, so the slide is smooth with very little scratch, and the material gives the bottom-out a deeper, more muted character than the brighter clack you’d get from a polycarbonate or nylon top. Stem wobble is acceptable for a PCB-mount switch, and because the spring is light, the return is brisk and the reset feels snappy.

Tuning

These are smooth enough to run stock, and the POM housing means lube matters less than it would elsewhere. If you want to push them further, a thin coat of 205g0 on the rails and a light spring lube will eliminate any stray ping and even out the handful of switches that feel marginally scratchier than the rest. Films are optional and offer only a small wobble improvement on POM housings. Don’t over-lube: a 37g switch can start to feel sluggish if you drown the slider.

Buy the Prestige Light if you want one of the lightest, smoothest linears Kailh makes and you value a deep, rounded sound. It’s a clear step lighter than a standard 45-50g linear and rewards a delicate touch. If you tend to bottom out hard or want more typing feedback, a heavier POM linear like the Kailh Black 60g will suit you better. For low-effort speed, though, the Prestige Light earns its place.
