Frequently asked

How does the Speed Copper compare to a Cherry MX Brown?

The actuation force is similar, but the Copper has a crisper, heftier bump and a much shorter pre-travel, so you get near-instant tactile feedback instead of the softer, more drawn-out feel of a Brown.

Why is it called a Speed switch?

The 1.1mm pre-travel is roughly half that of a standard switch, so the bump and actuation arrive very early in the keystroke. That short travel is what makes it feel fast.

Is it good for gaming?

Yes. The early actuation and quick reset suit fast inputs, while the tactile bump still gives the typing feedback that pure speed linears lack.
