Is the Kailh Sun 50g loud?
Yes. It is a genuine clicky switch, so every keypress lands with a sharp, audible click. It is not an office-friendly choice if you share a room.
Why does it have a hole in the middle?
The central light pipe is designed to sit over a per-key LED so the light shines straight up through the switch. On a hot-swap RGB board it makes the legends glow noticeably brighter.
Should I lube these?
Leave the click mechanism alone — lubing it kills the click that you bought the switch for. At most, a tiny bit of lube on the spring to quiet ping.
