Tuning

Clickies are the one category where I tell people to leave well enough alone. Lubing the click bar deadens the click and defeats the entire point of the switch, so keep grease off the leaf. If the stem wobble bothers you, switch films can tighten the housing fit, but the BOX design already limits how much they help. The spring is fine stock; a swap to a lighter or progressive spring is the only meaningful mod, and only if 46g still feels heavy to you. In short, this is a buy-and-board switch.

Buy the White Owl if you want a light, lively clicky and you have the room to be loud. It is a sensible step down in weight from something like the Kailh BOX White or a Cherry MX Blue, with a slightly crisper top housing tone. Compared to the heavier, thockier clickies out there, the White Owl is all about speed and brightness. Skip it if you share a desk or take a lot of calls — there is no quieting this one down without ruining what makes it good.
