Frequently asked

What makes a magnetic switch different?

Instead of a metal contact leaf, it uses a magnet in the stem and a Hall sensor in the board to read travel as an analog value. That only works on a magnetic-compatible PCB — it will not function in a normal mechanical board.

Can I set a custom actuation point?

On a compatible board, yes. The whole point of magnetic switches is adjustable actuation and rapid trigger, so you can tune the trigger depth per key in the board's software.

Do these need lube?

They ship lubed and feel fine stock. Magnet alignment matters more than lube here, so I would leave them alone unless you hit obvious scratch.
