Frequently asked

What do the ball bearings actually do?

The Roller uses ball bearings in the stem so contact with the housing shifts from face-to-face to point-to-point. That cuts friction on the keypress and clamps down hard on stem wobble — the headline feature here.

Should I swap the springs?

No. The V2 redesigned the leaf to quiet noise with the stock springs, and spring-swapping can reintroduce that noise. Leave the springs in place.

Are they good stock?

Yes. They come factory lubed and are smooth out of the bag. The ball-bearing design is doing the heavy lifting, so there is little to gain from a hand lube.
