Specs and Feel

Pre-travel is 2.0mm and total travel is 3.7mm. The 42g variant runs a 20mm spring and bottoms out at 48g; the 48g variant runs an 18mm spring and bottoms out at 56g. The stem is modified POM blended with ceramic powder and capped with a flat tip, sitting in an L4 POM top housing and an X1 bottom. That ceramic-POM stem is the key to the feel — firmer and slicker than ordinary POM, it glides cleanly and keeps the stroke consistent. The flat tip plus the housing mix gives a controlled, balanced medium-thocky bottom-out rather than a sharp clack. Smoothness is excellent thanks to the HMX molds and the dry-film treatment.

Tuning

The Cera is purpose-built to run stock: the dry-film stem lube and intentionally dry top housing are a design choice, giving you smoothness without the greasy aftertaste of a heavy hand lube. I would not add wet lube to the top housing — you would undo exactly what Keygeek engineered out. If you want, a delicate touch on the spring eliminates any ping, and films can deepen the bottom-out slightly on the X1 housing. But for most people, install-and-type is the right call here.

Verdict

Buy the Keygeek Cera if you want a smooth, clean-feeling linear that is great stock and avoids the oily feel of over-lubed switches. Skip it only if you specifically want a louder, clackier profile — for that, look at the Keygeek Cera X, which shares the ceramic-POM idea but tunes the molds toward a crisp, high-pitched clack. Compared to the Azure Sky Blue, the Cera feels a step more refined and consistent. It is one of the more polished budget linears in Keygeek’s lineup.
