Specs and Feel

Pre-travel is 2.0mm and total travel 3.7mm. The 37g version uses a 22mm spring and bottoms out at 42g; the 42g version uses a 20mm spring and bottoms out at 48g — both light and fast. The stack is an L4+ top housing, an X2 bottom made from POM and ceramic powder, and an L4 ceramic-infused POM stem. That ceramic content firms up the materials, which is exactly why the sound comes out crisp and high-pitched: harder plastics ring brighter and clack louder than soft nylon. The trade-off is loudness, but smoothness does not suffer — the ceramic-POM glides cleanly. Designed by Gearpod, it is factory lubed and PCB-mount.

Tuning

These are good to go stock — they arrive lubed and the appeal is the crisp, loud signature that the ceramic housing produces, so heavy lube would only dull what makes the Cera X interesting. If the volume is too much, foam or a softer mounting style tames it more effectively than lube. A light spring lube clears any ping. Films are largely unnecessary; the bright sound is the point, and a film would push it more muted. Keep the tuning minimal to preserve the clack.

Verdict

Buy the Cera X if you want a smooth light linear with a genuinely loud, crisp, clacky sound — it stands out on a board built for acoustics. Skip it if you need a quiet keyboard or prefer a fuller, deeper tone; in that case the standard Keygeek Cera or the more balanced Azure Sky Blue suit better. Against another clacky budget option like the Keygeek M3, the Cera X brings the ceramic smoothness alongside the brightness, which gives it an edge in feel.
