The stem is M4 POM, the top housing is polycarbonate, and the bottom is N3 nylon with 30% fiberglass. That housing pairing is the acoustic engine: the rigid PC top and fiberglass-stiffened nylon bottom both ring brighter and harder than soft nylon, which is why the Cheese lands such a loud, sharp clack. Factory lube keeps the linear glide smooth, though the emphasis here is clearly sound over silk-smooth refinement.

Tuning

The Cheese is built to be loud, so resist the urge to drown it in lube — a heavy hand will mute exactly the clack you bought it for. It comes factory lubed and runs well stock. If you get spring ping from the single-stage spring, a careful spring lube fixes it without quieting the housing. Films would push the sound more muted and tighten wobble; only add one if you want to trade some brightness for a cleaner low end. For most, stock is the intended, best experience.

Verdict

Buy the Keygeek Cheese V2 if you want one of the loudest, clackiest stock linears available and you build for sound. Skip it if you share a quiet space or prefer a deep, muted profile — for that, look at a thocky linear instead. Against the Keygeek M3, another bright, clacky pick, the Cheese leans even louder and sharper; against the Cera X it trades the ceramic smoothness for raw clack. If volume and snap are the goal, it earns its legend status.
