Specs and Feel

This is a smooth, even linear with a 2.0mm pre-travel and a slightly shorter-than-MX 3.6mm total travel, so bottom-out arrives a touch sooner than the standard 4.0mm. The 45g actuation and 53g bottom-out give a light, springy keystroke with no surprises in the force curve. Stem wobble is well controlled — the PBT stem fits the P4 housing tightly — and there’s no meaningful scratch thanks to the factory 205g0 on the legs and sliders. The headline is the acoustics: PBT against hardened PC produces a notably clacky, high-pitched bottom-out that cuts through, more poppy than deep. It’s a deliberate sound, not an accident, and it’s the main reason to reach for these over a creamier linear.

Tuning

These are designed to run stock, and they do that well. The stem and spring already carry an appropriate amount of lube, so a full hand-lube pass risks dulling the crisp signature you bought them for. If anything, leave them alone; the most you’d want is a set of films if your housings show any play, though the fit is tight enough that most builds won’t need them.

Verdict

Buy the Crepe if you specifically want a clacky, sharp linear and lean into bright, clean acoustics — they nail that brief and the value is excellent. Skip them if you’re chasing a deep, muted, thocky board, because the PBT-and-PC recipe is engineered to do the opposite. For the right ear, this is one of the more characterful budget linears around.
