Keygeek Mirror Lake R2 45g

My review of the Keygeek Mirror Lake R2 45g: a smooth U4-stem linear with a full, deep sound, a light 45g press and bargain pricing for big builds.

Frequently asked

How heavy is the Keygeek Mirror Lake R2 45g?

It actuates around 45g and bottoms out near 58g, so the keypress feels light up front with a firm cushion at the bottom. It is friendly for long typing sessions without feeling flimsy.

Does it need lube out of the box?

The U4 stem and PC top keep it smooth enough that most people can run it stock. A light spring lube is the only tweak I would bother with if you want to chase out the last bit of ping.

Why does it sound so deep?

The UPE stem material and PBT bottom housing soak up high frequencies, pushing the signature toward a rounded, thocky bottom-out rather than a bright clack.
