thockyFrequently asked
How light is the Keygeek Rye 36g?
Very light. It actuates around 36g and bottoms out near 45g, putting it among the lower end of mainstream linears. It suits fast typists and gamers who want minimal resistance, though anyone used to 50g+ switches will bottom out a lot at first.
Does the Rye 36g need lube?
It runs smooth out of the box thanks to the POM stem and modified nylon housings, so lube is optional. A light hand-lube on the springs and rails tightens the sound and kills any minor spring ping if you want to chase perfection.
What does the Keygeek Rye 36g sound like?
Deep and rounded rather than clacky. The modified PA6 bottom housing gives it a muted, full-bodied poink that pairs well with a foamed or plate-mounted board.
