Specs and Feel

It actuates at roughly 40g and bottoms out around 45g over 3.85mm of total travel, so there is only a small force gap between actuation and the bottom — a light, easy keypress with a clear landing. The interesting part is the stem geometry: a rounded pole-bottom and rail-top change how the stem meets the housing, concentrating the impact into a fuller, deeper sound. The UHMWPE top and PA12 bottom both lean toward damping, which is why the signature reads as genuinely thocky rather than merely full. Factory lube is applied well; smoothness is high and wobble is tidy.

Tuning

This is an excellent stock switch — the whole point is the engineered sound, and the factory lube already lets it shine. I would resist re-lubing the housings, since heavier lube would only blunt the concentrated bottom-out that makes the Sanglei distinctive. If you hear spring ping, a light bag-lube on the springs is the one safe tweak. No films needed; tolerances are good and the housing materials are doing deliberate acoustic work.

Verdict

Buy the Sanglei if a deep, full, concentrated sound is your goal and you want it without modding — it is more single-mindedly thocky than the more balanced Keygeek Muse, and lighter than most deep linears. If you prefer a brighter or more neutral signature, look elsewhere, because this switch commits hard to the low end. For a deep-sounding light board on a budget, it is a standout.
