The U4 (UPE) stem is the smoothness story — it glides cleanly against the nylon housings with only minor scratch on the lightest version. The PA12 top and PA1012 bottom damp the high end, so the bottom-out reads full and rounded rather than bright. Wobble is controlled across the range. The big force gap on the heavier versions (especially the 50g) gives a more pronounced, cushioned landing.

Tuning

This is a good stock linear, and the U4 stem means hand-lubing the rails buys little. If you want to refine it, spring lube is the highest-value tweak, since the lightest 30g version can show a touch of ping. Films are unnecessary with these nylon housings. The most useful “mod” is simply picking the right weight up front — the springs make a bigger difference to the feel than any lube pass would.

Buy the Sunflower if you want one switch family that scales from feather-light to firm with a consistent full, smooth character — it is more flexible than most single-weight linears. The 45g is the natural daily driver; the 30g overlaps with the lighter Neo Oat if you want airy travel, and the 50g suits heavy typists. For a smooth, rounded U4 linear with weight options, it is an easy recommendation.
