Keygeek T2

My review of the Keygeek T2: a medium-weight linear engineered for a textured, scratchy keypress with a neutral, mild sound and a careful factory lube job.

Frequently asked

Is the Keygeek T2 scratchy on purpose?

Yes — it is engineered to have a textured, slightly scratchy feel on the downstroke rather than a glassy glide. If you dislike feeling the travel, this is not the switch for you.

How is it lubed from the factory?

The stem legs and sliders get a thin coat of 205g0, the spring and leaf get a dry film, and the bottom housing and pole are left unlubed to prevent pooling. It is a deliberate, restrained job.

How heavy is it?

It actuates around 48g and bottoms out near 53g, putting it in comfortable medium-weight territory with a small force gap.
