Keygeek x Moyu Athena

My review of the Keygeek x Moyu Athena: a U4-stem linear with a pure, clean sound, excellent smoothness and two weights — a light 40g and a firmer 52g.

Frequently asked

What is the difference between the 40g and 52g Athena?

The 40g version actuates at 32g and bottoms out at 40g on a 22mm spring; the 52g actuates at 40g and bottoms out at 52g on a 20mm spring. The 40g is light and airy, the 52g firmer and more grounded.

What makes the Athena special?

It uses Keygeek's U4 UPE stem in twin PA12 housings, which together give a very smooth glide and a clean, pure sound with minimal high-pitched edge.

Does it need modding?

No — the U4 stem and matched PA12 housings are smooth and clean stock. A light spring lube is the only optional refinement.
