Frequently asked

Will the Aqua Prime work in any keyboard?

No — it is a Hall-effect magnetic switch, so it only works in boards with magnetic-switch (HE) support. Drop it into a standard mechanical PCB and it simply will not register.

What is the point of a magnetic switch?

The magnet lets the board read stem position continuously, so you can set a custom actuation point, rapid trigger, and analog input in software rather than being fixed to one actuation depth.

Should I lube it?

Generally no. Keep lube away from the magnet and sensor area; the POM stem is smooth enough stock, and over-lubing a magnetic switch risks affecting consistency.
