Paired with the polycarbonate top and nylon bottom housing, the result lands in clacky territory — brighter and more energetic than the deep KTT Grapefruit. Factory lube keeps the slide smooth, and a 15.5mm spring snaps the stem back quickly to match the light weighting. Wobble is well-controlled for the price.

Tuning

The Mint is good stock, which is part of its appeal. If you want to lean into the long-pole sound, leave the bottom-out alone and just refine the spring and rails with a thin hand-lube to remove any ping. Films tighten the housing if needed. Avoid heavy lube on the pole contact, since that’s where the snappy character comes from — muting it defeats the purpose.

Buy the Mint if you want a light, snappy, clacky linear that brings some energy and pop. It’s the bright counterpoint to the deep, soft KTT Grapefruit, and livelier than the balanced KTT Cabbage Tofu. For a budget board where you want a crisp, poppy typing sound, the Mint is the standout choice.
