The polycarbonate top and nylon bottom housing keep the sound crisp but not piercing — clacky with a little warmth from the nylon. The POM stem and factory lube make the slide smoother than a typical clicky, which often feel scratchy stock. An 18mm spring rounds out a light, brisk return. It genuinely feels like a refined take on the classic clicky formula.

Tuning

Clickies are the one switch type you generally should not lube on the click mechanism — doing so mutes or kills the click you bought them for. The good news is the Purple Click is already smooth and well-lubed where it counts. If anything, a careful spring lube to remove ping is the only mod worth doing. Otherwise, leave the click leaf alone and enjoy them stock.

Verdict

Buy the Purple Click if you want a light, smooth, crisp clicky and you’re happy to make noise. It’s a friendlier, lighter alternative to a Cherry MX Blue, and a smoother one too. If you want tactility without the click, KTT’s tactile Matcha or Phalaenopsis are the quieter cousins — but if it’s the click you’re after, the Purple Click nails it at a budget price.
