Specs and Feel

The POM stems are the reason it feels so good — POM is naturally self-lubricating, and the factory lube on the rails joins with that to produce a slick, consistent glide with very little scratch through the stroke. Stem wobble is controlled, and because the spring is heavy, the keypress feels planted rather than springy. Sound is on the deeper, fuller side, a product of the dense weighting and POM-on-housing contact rather than anything sharp or clacky.

Tuning

This one is good stock. The factory lube application is even and the POM stems don’t beg for help. If you want to chase the last few percent, a light hand-lube with a thin oil on the springs will kill any faint ping, and films are optional given the already-tight tolerances. Most people should mount these and type — the time-to-lube payoff here is smaller than on a dry, budget linear.

Verdict

Buy the MOD H if you want a heavy, refined linear that feels broken-in from the first keystroke. It rewards a forceful typing style and stays quiet and smooth where lighter switches can feel hollow. If 80g sounds exhausting, look at lighter community linears instead — but if you already love the MOD-M and want a sibling with its own weighting, the H is an easy recommendation.
