Specs and Feel

This is a medium-light linear: about 50g at bottom-out on a 20mm spring, with a shortened 1.80mm pre-travel and a 3.50mm total travel. The stem is POM and both housings are nylon. POM-on-nylon is a classic combination for a full, clacky sound, and the V2 revision keeps the travel smooth thanks to factory lube. The lighter spring makes it easy to spam, while the early-ish bottom-out gives the keypress a crisp landing rather than a soft one. The trade-off is a bit of audible spring noise on some units.

Tuning

These are genuinely good stock — the factory lube handles the rails well. The one thing worth addressing is spring ping: lube the spring ends or swap in a fresh 20mm spring and the noise disappears. Don’t over-lube the housing; the clack is the whole point of these, and damping it defeats the purpose. On a PC, PP, or POM plate they reward you with some of the best stock mods you can get for the money, especially on a spacebar.

Verdict

Buy the Jieum V2 50g if you want a cheap, loud, clacky linear and you’re building on a plastic plate. They’re lighter and a hair less sharp than the Swagkeys Catmint 58g, so pick Jieum for speed and Catmint when you want more heft behind the slap. Skip them if you need a quiet board — these are made to be heard, ideally on a spacebar.
