This is a light magnetic linear: roughly 45g at bottom-out with a 3.4mm total travel. The stem is POM, the top housing is PA12 and the bottom is P2, all factory lubed. Because it’s a Hall-effect switch, there are no metal contacts — magnets and sensors read the stem’s position, so the actuation point is adjustable in software and there’s no bounce or chatter. The keypress is smooth and consistent, and the light spring keeps it quick to reset. The short travel and low weight make it feel fast and effortless, which is exactly what analog gaming setups want.
Tuning
There’s little to do here. The factory lube is applied and POM stems on this kind of housing run smooth out of the box, so smoothness isn’t a concern. Tuning a magnetic switch is mostly done in firmware anyway — set your actuation point and rapid-trigger sensitivity to taste rather than reaching for lube. If you notice spring ping, a light spring lube is the only mod worth considering; avoid heavy housing lube that could interfere with the magnet travel.
