Tuning

Leave the click mechanism alone — hand-lubing the rails of a Box clicky dulls exactly the crispness you bought it for. The factory lube on the spring and slider is enough. The only worthwhile tweaks are acoustic: a PE-foam or tape mod will deepen the case resonance slightly, and a denser plate sharpens the click further. Films are unnecessary given the tight Box housing.

Verdict

Buy the Brother V2 if you want a clicky that is light on the fingers but heavy on sound — it is one of the few sub-40g click-bar switches around, and at well under fifty cents a switch it is hard to argue with. Skip it if you need anything resembling quiet, or if you prefer the heavier, more deliberate click of a Box White. For a fast, bright, budget clicky, it is an easy recommendation.
