TTC Heart

Quick Summary

The TTC Heart is a switch for switch nerds and lovers of kawaii — a light 42g linear with a tiny heart sticker floating inside a clear stem. The novelty hides a genuinely good switch: rock-solid build, almost no stem wobble, and a surprisingly low, thocky sound. If you want something cute that also performs, it’s a delight.

Specs and Feel

Specs: 42g actuation, 2.0mm pre-travel, 3.8mm total travel, with polycarbonate top and bottom housings and a POM rounded-box stem. The clever bit is the dual-hardness construction — a softer plastic at the bottom-out and a harder plastic at the top-out — which gives a deep, almost surprising thock with a little pop on the return. Build quality is excellent: effectively zero play between the housings and very little stem wobble. Scratch is minimal; there may even be a hint of factory lube on the stem. One caveat: the housing is symmetrical north-to-south and tall, so on the ASD row it can clack against some Cherry-profile keycaps regardless of switch orientation.

Tuning

They’re smooth and quiet enough to enjoy stock, and the heart is part of the charm so you may not want to crack them open. If you do, a light lube makes an already-smooth switch glassy. Filming is tricky here — the housings snap together precisely and a film can stop the latches from catching, so I’d skip it. There’s no real spring ping to chase. The only “fix” worth considering is keycap choice if you hit interference on the home row.

Verdict

Buy the Heart if you want a charming, well-built light linear with a deep thocky sound and you’re running a north-facing RGB board. Just check your keycaps for ASD-row clearance first. Compared to TTC’s plainer Golden Red V3, the Heart costs more and exists partly for the cuteness — but the dual-hardness sound and superb wobble control mean you’re not paying for novelty alone.
