That dual-pad approach is why it stays muted yet retains a defined stroke instead of the dead, spongy ending older silent switches suffered. The 16mm KOS single-stage spring is light and quiet. Stem wobble is well controlled, and the factory lube keeps the travel smooth. The V5 changes — reverting the top material and dropping the light guide — tighten the sound further.

Tuning

This is a switch you buy because it’s good stock. It’s factory-lubed and the silencing is built into the stem, so there’s nothing meaningful to add — over-lubing a silent switch only makes the bottom-out muddier. If anything, leave it be. The only worthwhile change is springs: if 44g feels too light, a slightly heavier single-stage will firm the press without affecting the mute pads.

Buy the WEKT Lucy V5 if silence is the priority and you still want a linear that feels like a linear. It’s quieter than most silent options while dodging the usual mushy penalty. If you’d accept a touch more sound for a fuller, deeper tone, a standard linear like the Wuque WS Morandi will satisfy — but for a truly quiet board, Lucy is the one I’d reach for.
