How it sounds
mutedFrequently asked
How quiet is the WEKT Nafu compared to other silent switches?
It sits at the deeply muted end of the silent spectrum. Mute pads on both the stem rails and the inner stem pole damp the up-stroke and the down-stroke, so it reads as a soft thud rather than the rubbery slap some silent linears produce.
Does the Nafu feel mushy because of the silencing pads?
There is a little cushioned give at the very bottom thanks to the TPU material, which is why full compression runs slightly longer than the rated total travel. It is far less mushy than typical silent switches, but purists who want a hard floor should look at a non-silent linear.
Do the WEKT Nafu switches need lubing out of the box?
No. The springs and contact leaves are factory lubed and the travel is already smooth, so they are good to drop in. A light stem lube only helps if you want to chase the last bit of refinement.
