Specs and Feel

Gardenia actuates at 45g and bottoms out at 56g, so there’s a gentle build of resistance across a full 2.0mm pre-travel and 4.0mm total travel — this is a standard-depth linear, not a short-throw one. The housing is the interesting part: a POK P1 top paired with a PA66 nylon bottom. POK is a slick, low-friction material that keeps the stroke smooth, while the nylon base rounds the sound off and adds body, landing it in medium-thocky territory rather than clacky. The modified POM stem rides cleanly, and wobble is well controlled for the price. The spring and leaf come factory-lubed, so there’s no ping, though the stem rails themselves are left fairly dry.

Tuning

This one is good stock but rewards a little effort. Because the rails ship lightly lubed, a thin pass of 205g0 on the stem legs and sliders takes it from smooth to glassy. The factory spring is already quiet, so springs are optional. Films aren’t needed — the housing fit is snug. If you want a deeper bottom-out, a heavier or two-stage spring suits the full travel well.

Verdict

Buy the Wild Gardenia if you want a clean, slightly deep linear with full travel for almost nothing. It’s a versatile daily switch that takes a hand-lube nicely if you want to push it further. Compared to the shorter-throw TTC Tiger Standard, Gardenia trades the snappy quick-actuation feel for a more traditional, grounded stroke — pick it if you prefer that classic full-travel linear.
