Smoothness is strong thanks to the factory lube, with only the faintest hint of texture rather than any real scratch. Acoustically it leans deep, neutral and sharp at once: the fiberglass floor adds a crisp, defined edge that reads louder and more articulate than the softer BM-10.

Tuning

These arrive factory-lubed and feel essentially ready to drop in. A re-lube only pays off if you want to even out the last bit of variance across a full set, and films are unnecessary given how tight the housing already is. Pair them with a stiffer plate and PE foam to lean into the sharp, defined character.
