Morandi bottoms out at a medium-heavy 60g over a fairly short 3.5mm total travel, so the press feels substantial and you reach the floor without a long throw. The construction is the story: a full POM top and bottom housing paired with a UPE stem. POM is soft and self-lubricating, which normally pushes a switch toward a muted, rounded tone — but Morandi bottoms out on the stem pole, and that pole contact adds the unexpectedly deep, full thock you hear. UPE keeps the travel slick, so despite the heavier spring it stays smooth rather than draggy. An 18mm double-staged spring gives a brisk, supportive return, and Haimu’s factory lube means low wobble and a glassy feel stock.

Tuning

Morandi is excellent stock and best left mostly alone. The full-POM housing is self-lubricating and the UPE stem is already slick, so re-lubing risks dulling the bottom-out rather than improving it. The double-staged spring is a highlight as shipped. Films aren’t needed thanks to POM’s snug fit. If anything, just pair it with a well-foamed board to let the deep pole bottom-out sing.

Buy the Morandi if you want a deep, full-POM linear with a medium-heavy press and zero setup fuss. It’s one of the more characterful stock linears around for the depth it delivers. Against the Wuque WS Arowana Gold, Morandi goes deeper and heavier thanks to its POM housing and 60g bottom-out; choose it when you want maximum thock, and the Gold when you’d prefer a lighter, slightly brighter balance.
