Specs and Feel
You get 2mm of pre-travel into a shorter 3.6mm total stroke, which shaves a touch off the bottom and makes the switch feel snappy. The 50g/60g weighting is light without being twitchy. The material pairing is the story here: UPE is one of the smoothest self-lubricating stem plastics around, and against POM housings it produces a glide with essentially no scratch and a sound that leans medium-thocky rather than clacky. An 18mm double-stage spring keeps the return crisp and helps suppress ping. A PMMA light diffuser sits in the housing for clean RGB pass-through. These are good enough stock that I would not lube them. The factory application already smooths the rails, and adding more risks a heavy, sluggish feel on a switch this light. If you are chasing the last bit of polish, a thin film tightens the housing and deepens the sound slightly, and a spring swap is only worth it if 60g feels too light for you. Otherwise, mount them and type.

Buy the Jade 50g if you want a cheap, light linear that needs zero work — it is one of the better value-per-dollar switches in this weight class. Compared to the Wuque Studio Red, the Jade is lighter and uses the smoother UPE/POM combo, so pick the Jade for a faster, glassier feel and the Red if you prefer a heavier, deeper nylon sound. Against pricier flagships like the Tealio, you give up a little refinement but save a lot of money. For most builders, that is an easy trade.
