Tuning

It’s good stock, and POM’s self-lubricating nature means you don’t strictly need to do anything. If you want to chase the last bit of smoothness, a thin 205g0 coat on the rails helps, but be sparing — POM doesn’t hold lube the way nylon does, and over-application can feel gummy. Films are unnecessary given the controlled wobble. Leave the double-stage spring alone; it’s well suited to the deep, deliberate character.

Verdict

Buy the POM 45g if you want a warm, thocky linear on a budget and don’t need the brightest, poppiest sound. It’s the deep, mellow counterpoint to a clacky switch like the WingTree G-One — pick the POM for thock and quiet, the G-One for bright energy. Against a premium deep linear like the Zeal Pearlio it’s less glassy, but it’s a fraction of the price and delivers most of the warm character. For an affordable thocky board, it’s a strong pick.
