Specs and Feel

Actuation is 55g rising to a 60g bottom-out, across 2.0mm of pre-travel and 3.8mm of total travel on a 22mm double-stage spring. The polycarbonate top and bottom housing is the acoustic driver here: PC is harder and more resonant than nylon or POM, so the bottom-out lands with a brighter, medium-clacky character. The nylon stem keeps the glide smooth and adds a touch of warmth to offset the PC’s brightness. Wobble is well controlled and the factory lube keeps scratch low through the stroke.

Tuning

Good stock for most builders. The factory application is even, so the Quartz is happy dropped straight in. If you want to tame the brightness, a thin top-housing film and a fuller stem-lube pass will deepen the sound and quiet any housing resonance. A heavier spring is the easy mod if 55g feels too light for you; the double-stage spring already gives a lively return.

Verdict

Buy the Quartz 55g if you want a smooth, slightly bright linear with a clean polycarbonate voice and an easy stock experience. It is the brighter sibling to the deeper, creamier Wuque Studio Morandi 50g — choose Quartz for clack and resonance, Morandi for a muted thock. Against the Zeal Turquoise Tealio it gives up some ultimate smoothness but costs a fraction as much.
