Tuning

Good stock, and I would leave them alone. The factory lube already handles the rails, and nylon switches rarely need much more to sound their best. If you want to chase the deepest possible tone, switch films pair well with nylon housings to tighten any remaining looseness and round the sound further. A hand-lube is only worth it if you are doing a full custom build and want absolute consistency across every switch — for everyday use, mount and go.

Verdict

Buy the WS Red 55g if you want a deeper, slightly heavier linear that costs almost nothing and needs no tuning. Against its sibling the Wuque Studio Jade, the Red is the heavier, thockier choice thanks to its nylon housings, while the Jade is lighter and cleaner-sounding with its POM/UPE build — pick by the weight and sound you prefer. Compared to a classic nylon linear like the Gateron Oil King, the WS Red gets you a similar deep signature for a fraction of the price. Easy recommendation for a budget build.
