Out of the box the pre-applied lube does its job: the downstroke is smooth and consistent across the keyset, with no notable scratch and only minor stem wobble typical of MX switches at this price. The heavier spring is the defining trait: keystrokes feel purposeful, and the firmer return helps reduce mistypes compared to a 45g linear. The upgraded three-ply pins and frosted light-guided housing also make for a stable hot-swap fit and bright, even SMD backlighting.

Tuning

There’s little need to mod these. The factory lube is competent and the housing is already pleasant. If you want to chase a deeper, less hollow sound, swabbing the springs and adding switch films will tighten things up, but for most builds these are a load-and-go switch.

Buy the G Pro 3.0 Black if you want a smooth, heavier linear that feels deliberate under the finger and doesn’t demand any tuning. It’s a strong value for keyboards where you type or code all day and prefer firmer feedback. If you’re after the lightest, fastest possible linear, look to a 45g switch instead.
