Frequently asked

Are Gateron Ink switches good stock or do they need lubing?

They are among the smoothest linears you can buy out of the box, so they perform well stock. A light hand-lube tightens the sound and shaves off any remaining faint scratch, but it is a refinement rather than a rescue.

What do Gateron Ink switches sound like?

Deep and full, with a rounded, low-pitched bottom-out thanks to the proprietary smoke-tinted Ink housing. They lean clacky-to-thocky depending on your keycaps and build rather than sharp or high-pitched.

How is the stem wobble on Gateron Ink?

Stem wobble is well controlled. There is a little more play than the very tightest boutique housings, but nothing that intrudes during typing.
