It arrives lightly factory-lubed and is perfectly usable stock. A hand application of a thin lube like Krytox 205g0 mainly cleans up the spring and sharpens the already-glassy sound, but it is an optional refinement rather than a fix.

It is a light linear with a 45g actuation force and a 2.0mm pre-travel over 4.0mm of total travel, so it rewards a fast, low-effort typing style.

Gateron's proprietary INK-blend top and bottom housing gives the switch a noticeably deeper, fuller sound signature than a standard nylon or polycarbonate linear, which is the main reason enthusiasts seek the Ink line out.
