The POM stem rides a dual-rail design inside a PC top and PA66 bottom housing, which keeps stem wobble in check and the travel consistent across the keystroke. Out of the box it comes lubed, so scratch is minimal and the linear glide is clean. The headline trait is the muted top-out: the mute pads take the edge off the return, dropping typing noise well below a typical magnetic linear without going fully silent on bottom-out.

Tuning

There’s little to do here. It ships pre-lubed and the mute pads are baked into the housing. If you want it quieter still, a soft set of switch pads or a foam-modded plate will hush the remaining bottom-out, but most people will run these stock and be happy.

Verdict

Buy the Genty if you have a Hall Effect board and want analog control with a calmer acoustic signature than standard magnetic linears offer. The light spring, smooth lubed travel and damped top-out make it a comfortable everyday switch for shared spaces and late-night sessions. Skip it only if you’re on a conventional mechanical PCB, since the magnetic stem won’t register, or if you specifically want a loud, poppy bottom-out.
