Does the Gateron Magnetic Jade Delta work in a regular keyboard?
No. It's a Hall Effect switch that relies on magnets and sensors instead of physical metal contacts, so it requires a magnetic/HE-compatible PCB. It will not function in a standard mechanical board, and even among HE boards compatibility can vary by manufacturing batch.
Can you change the actuation point on the Jade Delta?
Yes. Because the switch reads magnetic flux by distance traveled rather than a fixed contact point, the actuation depth is fully adjustable in firmware on a supported board, which is why any quoted actuation force is only an estimate.
Does the Jade Delta need lubing?
Not really. It ships factory lubed and the magnetic, contactless design is already free of scratch and chatter, so most people run it stock.
